They’re small, colourful, and have a squishy texture all of which can make them appealing to young children. Health Canada has issued a warning about those miniature plastic laundry detergent packages, and the dangers they pose if swallowed. No wonder children end up ingesting them. They appear to be pieces of candy! Health Canada is reminding parents that laundry detergents are powerful cleaning products, that may contain ingredients harmful if swallowed.
