Grads

Posted on: May 20, 2011

144 new doctors graduated from Western’s Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry today. This convocation marks the largest class of medical graduates to date, at a time of shortages in family medicine and emergency care. Nearly 43 % of this year’s class is going into family medicine. Another 17 % will do their residency in surgery. At least one graduate says the role of doctors will increasingly include advocating for the changes required to make our health care system sustainable.
