INSPIRATIONAL SPEAKER

Posted on: November 21, 2011

Some London high school students got boost today in their efforts to keep fit and find balance in their lives.  It began with some words of inspiration.  Canadian paralympic sledge hockey player, Kevin Rempel, broke his neck in a motorcycle jumping crash at the beginning of his career as a stunt rider.  But through hard work and perseverance he has managed to rebuild his life and re-invent himself into a world class sledge hockey player with the goal of winning gold at the next olympic winter games.  Rempel was at Clarke Road Secondary School this afternoon as they keynote speaker for an esteem team wellness workshop where students learned that no matter how high the wall, if you want something badly enough, you can make it through.  It’s a province-wide initiative to help students build self esteem and promote physical activity.
