Technology that’s fueled the gaming world could be a game changer for people with Parkinson’s Disease. Lawson Researchers have developed a virtual world to help people with Parkinson’s perform day to day tasks. It’s a project that could one day be used as a template to help people navigate their everyday world with greater command and confidence.


A new program offer through St. Joseph’s Health Care is helping people with disabilities get in the swim of things, literally. It’s designed to benefit people with conditions like Parkinson’s Disease, Osteoarthitis and Stroke by introducing them to aquatic exercise.

When Michael J Fox is in London next month, he’ll be shining the spotlight on Parkinson’s disease.  A disease we customarily think of affecting older people but like the actor, it’s a disease that also can also strike those who are younger.


Parkinson’s disease is one of the most common neurological disorders.  But a new study is showing experimental gene therapy may hold real promise for some patients.
